Yes, only 1 tank. We are not full timers, just coincidental holidays and cool temps in southern Utah.

Wasn't paying attention to what you were camping in. Understand the one tank in a motorhome. Like the idea of a t mentioned above. In your circumstance I would always start out with a full tank and top off when the gauge fell much below 1/2 when anticipating sub freezing temps.
