Home made screen attachment?

I am thinking about making my own screen attachment to use this summer on my Jayco. I find that the "add a room" type attachments are way too heavy and cumbersome to deal with. I am thinking of using some of the inexpensive screen curtains that come with a back yard Gazebo. I want something that can come down quickly in a storm. I am wondering if I can run a cord from the corner of the trailer along the line of the awning roof? Has anyone else tried this or something similar?
If no one has tried this, I will post some photo's when I finish my experiment. I have 4 panels like the ones in the photo from a Gazebo that collapsed..
I may have to add some at the top though for the triangle of space at the top edge of the awning. Name: 141044230211_1.jpg
