This last trip happened in the middle of putting French Drains in around our house -- and by that I mean WE are doing it ourselves. We got the drains in, the gravel in, some of the dirt back in and away we went!

The fall is our camping season though, we go at least once a month September through January, and even into February sometimes. The parks are less crowded and weather is nicer (cooler). I expect we'll double that number pretty easily before the year is out. Since our son isn't in school yet, we can still make some pretty good trips in the fall. Especially with over a week out in November. I'm really excited about that one, it'll be our first long trip with the RV!

Living in Pennsylvania our camping season is usually April through October (that is when the campgrounds are open) but sometimes the state parks are open later in the year although they cannot guarantee water, etc.

We have done three trips for a total of 19 days. We pull our FW and boat up to Grand Teton National Park and go fishing and sightseeing then we come home. Only about three hours each way but a great time.

Super jealous! Our trip to Grand Teton would take 2 days minimum drive time. And that's two HARD days of serious, mission-driven travel, not just relaxing and poking along.
We do have the beach though! We can leave work at noon on a Friday and be sipping pre-dinner drinks on a beautiful Gulf Coast beach!
Don't get me wrong, TX is great for camping, but sometimes I hear the irresistible call of the mountains, and my heart longs ...

4 trips with 11 nights, wished it was more but our busy schedule hasn't allowed it.

Try: Finish mower down for 3 weeks (finally back online Monday), F350 needs exhaust work, too much crap in the barn: consignment auction in Sept, donor car for project car full of hornets, 1/2 the drainage ditches have to be re-dug, section of dry-laid-stone retaining wall needs repair, the back 10 acres has to be brush-hogged in 3 phases, two weeks apart to avoid starving the honeybees, re-grade 1/2 mile private road, keep up with the finish mowing, 70,000 mile service on my daily driver, pay attention to SWMBO, check on my 83 year-old parents, work full time 50 miles from home, dump the cat litter in the field beyond the barn, etc., ad nausium...
I love my life!
Leaving all that behind is both a relief and a self-imposed guilt trip. Apply sparingly.

Actually, the 4-day this weekend trip may occur in an abbreviated form. We're looking at going up to the Lumberman's Festival in Boonville, NY as an extended day trip instead of the whole weekend.

I have a Google Docs spreadsheet that I use to keep track of our trips. It really helps to get some interesting details on things like this, plus answering questions like, "Where did we go in 2013? How many miles did we put on our old trailer?" I managed to track things all the way back to the first trip we took in 2000, borrowing my girlfriend's (now wife) father's class-B, to when we got our first RV in 2009 (small 10' popup), to our current Jayco. I enter things in the "DB" page, and it automatically calculates the statistics. Here's the "by year" statistics as of right now:
Code:
Statistics by year
Year Trips Unique Sites Nights Mileage
2000 2 2 5 2,431
2002 2 2 8 1,628
2005 1 1 8 1,736
2006 1 1 9 1,736
2009 7 7 26 3,999
2010 8 7 25 3,625
2011 15 15 40 6,404
2012 11 11 34 4,365
2013 12 8 38 4,303
2014 7 5 16 1,304
2015 10 9 27 2,617
Lifetime 76 68 236.00 34,148
Yearly Avg 6.91 6.18 21.45 3,104
