I hope that this is not norm

Got our trailer Jan 21, 2011, on trip in Feb found that a little door over the sofa was warped and also the stairs were bent. Took to authorized repair facility, service manager took pics and said that he would get back to me. 3 weeks later haven't heard from him went and seen him,he said he did not do anything about the problems cause he didnot know what to do. I came home found out what he needs to do went back gave him paperwork and hopefully everything would be ok. Got home from March trip, found that the hot water heater was leaking, and real bad noises coming from the axle. They have had the trailer for 14 days as of today and, the door he ordered was wrong, the steps were replaced, the hot water heater has not been looked at, and the parts he needs to fix the axle will be shipped out on the 21st of april. We have the self adjusting brakes and the bottom spring broke and the adjuster is all screwed up. Is this what I have to look forward to anytime I need something fixed under warrenty. I would like to call Jayco and complain about the service but don't have a number. Sorry for it being this long.

The toll free number is.... 800 283-8267. Definitely contact Jayco direct! A good dealer/service manager would have kept you up to speed on everything. Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

I thought that number was the number to order parts. Funny I checked online and found the parts from elkart ind and they would cost a whopping $5.57 and they would ship. The service manager found parts in Ga and told me that it would cost $45.00 to overnite them. Something is amiss. The last trailer we had I got ride of cause of the way the wife and I were treated by the service and the manufacture. I don't want to that again, cause the wife and I love this trailer.

Update, The wrong parts came in last week. We have had this trailer for 80 days and 20 days it has been in the shop awaiting parts. Right now I am trying to keep a good attitude but it is getting really tough to do so. Have talked to Jayco and they keep telling me sorry for the problems and that it will be fixed. We allready canceled a trip, not going to cancel another one. Sorry for the rant. Ernie

Well hopefully Jayco will get you taken care of. Sometimes I know it is frustrating because you are dealing with Jayco AND a dealer who have to coordinate. Keep on them both and specifically tell them what you want. Jayco is a good company and will stand behind their product so keep working with them and it will all work out in the end.

Parcany, hopefully you are not dealing with World Wide RV. I truely believe that all they are capable of is selling. I seriously doubt that they even have a service department. When we took our trailer to Bish's RV in Idaho they fixed everything in just a few hours.

I hope you get everything fixed soon, the 330 is a great trailer.

Mike

I feel your pain with less than stellar service - heck, I would settle for mediocre. For me, Jayco hads been great to deal with. I agree with the fact that you need to find another service center. Good luck - keep us posted...

The service center is here in Tucson. The trailer will have to go back to them WHEN the cabinet door comes in. The part I need is in Phoenix,Already got the authorizition to get the part, just waiting for a call back from Jayco to go get it. 2 hours up and 2 hours back and should have the trailer tomorrow. I already have another service center set up. Had these guys work on our other trailer, they do good work. Will keep you informed. Later Ernie
