I tried
Well I've been looking for a new camper from NJ to SC. I've been to several shows and at least a dozen dealers. Kept looking for Jayco's and really wanted a White Hawk, but just couldn't swing a deal. Found a used Coachmen Santara 271BH in immaculate shape at a dealer in Raleigh. Wife and kid liked it. I could only find one thing I didn't like about it (no pass thru storage up front) but I couldn't walk away from the price. So, we are no longer Jayco owners. While loading all the stuff into it it Sunday, my boy said to me, "Dad, this is a nice camper, but its got a lot to live up to for us to have as much fun as we did in the Jayco. I'm sure gonna miss it." Says a lot for our little 165BH and the times we had using it! Time will tell. So, I might pop in from time to time, but I guess this is goodbye to the Jayco community. I learned a lot and everybody is always respectful.

As long as you and the family like it, that's all that matters.
Good luck to you!! Don't be a stranger!

This may be a "brand" specific forum but I think we all are here for one thing The love of camping and spending time with freinds and family. So Jayco or not you are still welcome here. Remember most of the questions and answers are not brand specific.
Good luck with your new camper.

The only 2 pictures I got. Took these leaving the lot. Already back out to sea for a few weeks. Gonna try and go to Myrtle Beach when I get home for its shake down cruise. Still have to buy a few things. I sold most of my stuff with the other one. Never should have sold the TV....wallet is regretting that one.

Not the Navy. I work on an ocean going tug hauling petroleum products up and down the east coast. I live and work on the tug for 2 weeks, then I have 2 weeks off. I get a Honeymoon and a divorce once a month.

Gotcha - that's not a bad schedule at all for camping! I used to have to go to sea for 6+ months at a time - ex-carrier sailor here. Enjoy the maiden voyage when you get back!
