Installing a Window in Door

Hi! Has anyone on this forum done this? We have a 154bh, that we absolutely love, but we could use a window in the door, in the top bunk and maybe even above the sink. We'll start with the one in the door since that will be the most straight forward (no wires or framing to contend with). Anyone have any tips?

Thanks so much in advance!

I believe it would be easy. Cut a rectangular opening, and install the frame and glass. Here's a frame on Amazon that might work, but it depends on the size you need. You'd have to get the glass separately at a glass shop; safety glass, because of the flex and banging of the door.

I did my window in tinted safety glass for less than $30.00. It's super easy to take out and you should leave the glass at the glass shop for a perfect measurement because there's almost no room for error as you will see. It's a one person job, first put a little duct tape on the outside frame then you can remove the screws on the inside and not worry about the outside. I bought a window shade for the inside that's a perfect fit from Ikea for $19.00.
