Insurance
I wasn't able to find a thread on the matter. We recently bought a new trailer, and found out that our current insurance only covers liability as far as the trailer is concerned. I know that Good Sam is a popular choice, and is the only one we've researched so far. I was curious as to what other options, some of you use to insure your trailer. Who do you guys use for accident insurance, and do you recall rates and deductibles on your coverage? Thank you for your time.

I vote for Flo
I am a Good Sam member but their rates seemed way high (for me anyway).
Progressive was the best rate I found. I was paying about $400.00 a year with Nationwide on a 2014 184BH. I switched to Progressive last year and the rate dropped to $216.00. 500 deduct for comp & collision.
2014 Jayco 184BH
COMPREHENSIVE ACTUAL CASH VALUE $178.00

FIRE DEPARTMENT SERVICE $1,000 INCL
EMERGENCY VACATION EXPENSE $750 LIMIT INCL
VACATION LIABILITY $10,000 INCL

I know we are not talking motor homes but I consider the rate I received very good for an $80K dollar RV.
$492.00 for (1) year of full coverage and it isn't' the minimum.
2016 Jayco 24K

I live in CA and purchased my insurance from CSAA (AAA). I think it was around $185.00 for a Jayco 23MRB.

Progressive will probably be your best bet. They'll give you a quote over the phone. 855-758-0770

X3!!!
It may not be as cheap as some, but the coverage for contents and the awning are very hard to beat.
We pay ~$400/yr for our '16 32 BHDS here in Mid Michigan. My wife knows the details of coverage as she is the ins guru since she works in the field!!! Lol
Good luck deciding!!!

So far, Progressive does seem very reasonable over Good Sam. For $241 I get Total loss replacement/Purchase Price, $1,000 deductibles on collision/comprehensive, disappearing deductibles, roadside assistance, and $1000 personal effects replacement. AAA and Geico have to contact me for their quotes, but not sure if they'd get any where close to that coverage for the price. Thanks for the suggestions, I appreciate it.

We use state farm and pay 500 a year, with 100 and 250 deductible.

Worked up a custom quote from Progressive based upon this post. Rate was within a few dollars of my current policy with Geico but with better coverage. I just bound a policy and will be switching to Progressive. The only benefit to Geico is since they insure my vehicles, if there was a loss due to an accident, there would have only been a single deductible.
