Interior/Exterior Treatment when you purchase?

My dealer is offering an interior and exterior treatment that they claim will make it easy to clean up spills or bugs, etc. Has anyone ever purchased anything like this? It is fairly expensive, around $1000 bucks. Seems to me like maybe a scotch guard type of thing. I'm thinking of passing on this but wanted to hear some feedback about it.

I wouldn't do it. it is an upsale and nothing some fabric repellant and good wax wont do

I'v not heard of this before and probably would not do it. The interior fabric on these units is ...well...cheap and I don't think it would be worth the extra money. That's not to say Jayco is alone in this, they are all cheap, unless you get the very expensive models. As for the outside, as has been mentioned, a good wax job is probably all that's needed.

I wouldn't do it. it sounds too expensive.
However, perhaps ask the dealer how much they believe in their treatment. If they look at you and swear by it and start giving you stories of how great it is then ask them for a physical test in your presence. Hand them a some honey and ketchup packets to squeeze out on various interior surfaces, and let them set a bit. Then do the same on the exterior. They can demonstrate on an area which has been treated versus an area without treatment. Insist they use either a new or used unit on their lot.
If their products really work and they firmly believe in it, they will be enthusiastic about showing it off. If the him, haw, or balk at your suggestion, then it should be obvious...

Like I say you can do a scotchguard or other similar treatment on the fabric and the carpet and wax on the outside ... shoot you could have a detailer do it and it would still be cheaper by far

Nope, not gonna do it for a thousand bucks. Just wanted to hear if anyone else had it done and thought if there were some big hype about it, that may change my thinking. I keep my toys extremely clean anyway.
