Is it Spring yet?

Now that the fun and excitement of the holidays is over, I find myself back to missing our poor, lonely camper and thus, trolling the Jayco forums. My 6 year old asked me last week if we could drive over to the camper place (it's being stored there in their back lot), just to check on it and make sure it's okay. She's sure someone will buy it if we aren't careful. Can't say that I blame her, it's a beauty!

Just counting down now until the booking window opens for NYS parks to make some summer reservations. We got an extra day off work this year during 4th of July, making it a 4 day weekend. Now to decide just where to go for that one. Already have our sites picked out for a week in July and a week in August.

Hope everyone's surviving the waiting game well enough!

I look at it this way. We were camping the day before Hurricane Sandy hit us. That was almost 3 months ago. Our first camping trip of this year is mid April which is about 3 months away. We're halfway there!

One thing that keeps us going is that our go to CG at the beach reserves 6 months in advance. The past few weeks have been a booking bonanza for us as we were booking for June and July!

Unfortunately, this great weather we're currently having is probably just a tease, but we can always hope & dream. Got a new snowblower two years ago as insurance, and it's worked perfectly so far. I'm hoping the tires dry rot before they are used for the first time LOL

I feel exactly the same way not that the holiday's are over. In fact, I am working on plans for Memorial Day weekend as that's a busy weekend and sites will book up quick. I'm sure we'll do some trips in April but will wing them. I can't wait to get it out of storage and flush the pink out!

With the temperature in central PA to be in the 50's this weekend, DW, granddaughter, Tucker (dog) and I will spend an overnight at the RV. Good time to check things out after the snow we had over the holidays.

Funny you should post this. I got called in to work last night and was sitting waiting for someone to bring me a part and there was a calendar on the wall. I thought to myself, "I wonder how many days until our first campout of 2013." I think it was 115.

I love the first day of winter because the very next day and every day thereafter is getting longer, moving towards spring!!

It felt like it this weekend in Knoxville, TN - highs hitting the low 70's. Should have went camping, but a lot of rain. Did get the chance to give the TT a thorough washing, which just made me want to take it out that much more. The kids made me promise that the next nice weekend we have, we won't miss.

That's the nice thing about just bowing out the water lines - makes quick weekend trips in the winter easy.

Got a chance to get out to our barn (hubby built it just to house the camper. True love!) in back and thoroughly checked for signs of mice. Thankfully, none to report, so far! We didn't have any last year either. We have 5 tame barn cats that love their job, I guess!

Camping season can't come soon enough! Just got another 5cm of snow today and another 5-15cm possible this week But we have the Edmonton RV show at the beginning of February and a two week holiday in Southern California for Spring break (Disneyland!!!). By the time we get back its going to be April and the snow should be gone. That will be almost time to get the trailer out and prep'd for the summer! Ryan

I feel your pain Ry-guy. Can't complain about today's temp. We were warmer in Edmonton than Vegas. Lol

Got about 5 inches of snow here in Knoxville yesterday - makes me wonder what happened to that nice weather I posted about at the top of the page...

After about a week and a half of rain ~7 inches, and thoughts of building an ark, we saw the sun again today. Supposed to be in the high 50's tomorrow.
