I believe so. I use OxyClean in a bucket of warm water with a soft scrub brush.

I use regular old Dawn Dish Soap on the roof.

I have heard that Simple Green is fine for the roof.

Simple Green is fine. Any basic surfactant type detergent is ok to use. You don't want to use harsh cleaners that may contain solvents or petroleum distillates. Solvents can deteriorate EPDM and TPO roofing materials.

In my opinion Dawn dish soap works as well or better than many other detergent cleaners costing much more. I believe the chemistry of their product is still under patent protection, but I'm not certain about that. Dawn works great for carpet cleaning among other uses.

I would avoid some of the special multi-purpose cleaners including some automotive products. Cleaners including silicone like Armor All can affect the adhesion of roof repair products. Awesome may work great on your trailer exterior side walls, but it is quite harsh so I wouldn't use it on the roof. Check the MSDS.

Vic I dilute the mixture at 10-1 as per instructions for general cleaning. I would never use the stuff straight. It's too harsh. But I do agree Dawn is very good also it just suds up too much IMO.

The book that came with our trailer said to use Spic and Span, I use it on our roof every time I clean it, does a very good job, and it will not harm the roof.

Diluted is probably fine. Too many people subscribe to the "if that's what is recommended, then more is better" philosophy.

We still use Spic and Span on our vinyl floors. Old school, but good stuff. I don't often clean our trailer roof, but Spic and Span sounds like a good selection.

Do you think that it will work to leverage the Spic and Span experience that my wife already has and translate it to her RV roof cleaning? Nah... even I can see the potential pitfalls in that discussion.

spic and span here as well, per instructions that came with TT. Sort of hard to find the granular, which I prefer. Finally found it on amazon. Spic and span website did not have a listing for the granular within 50 miles of where I live!

I just got a box of spic and span from Amazon myself. How do you guys use it (granular)?

I use the spic and span in a bottle, I use it full strength, I put it in a spray bottle and spray it all over the roof , then I take a brush to it, then I hose it off.

I called Jayo and they said it was best to use it full strength. So that's what I do.
