Jayco Delivery Timeline?

We purchased our new 32BHDS in early-mid December and were given a delivery timeline of 16 weeks. That would mean we should expect it around tax day. A few weeks ago we called the dealer and were given an estimated build date of March 15 and that's the last we heard until today.

Today we were told it was actually built on March 3 and that it went out to the shipping company on March 17. Jayco said once it goes out to the delivery company that they have no way of tracking it anymore so they have no idea when it will actually arrive here.

Here's the thing. Months before we sold our old camper and purchased the new one we had booked a local trip for Spring Break, the week before Easter. We leave next Friday but it's only about 15 miles from home. Our dealer said that once they receive the camper that it will take another 2 weeks to actually prep it for us.

Does that sound right? In an ideal world, we could pick the camper up and head right to the campground next Friday since the dealer is on the way to the campground.

At this point the only dates that really matter are when the dealer receives your new camper, and the 2 weeks out from that point that they need to prep it.

If the dealer hasn't received the camper yet (if I'm reading this right) You won't be taking delivery by next Friday. hopefully they'll get it today or tomorrow and they can put a rush on the prep stuff?

Sounds like you guys may need a plan B for next weekend, just in case.

Production is fast and furious at the Jayco Plant in Middlebury, they admit that the delivery vendors do not have enough drivers to get the units delivered as quickly as they would like.

I ordered on 1/23 (Long Island Dealer). He called Tuesday and said he expects it in two weeks. I guess we'll see but if it shows up then it is a little earlier than promised but pretty close to the estimated schedule.

Pinnacle 38 REFS but I doubt ours came in that fast. If it did he would have been caught by surprise as I was there yesterday and he said two weeks. I'm hoping it stays on schedule as I am trying to coordinate a disc brake install and the installer will have a guy on the island towards the end of April (Or sooner). I am changing the brakes out immediately. Dealer will need to do PDI and a satellite install and he told me he is pretty backed up right now so I don't expect to be able to use it until May. We'll see.....

Sure, send me a message.

It's a 32BHDS. On Monday I had dropped off my parents camper for some work and when I was leaving I spotted a 32BHDS in their sale lot but it was locked.

Why so long, a good PDI can be done in a day?

Indiana just recently changed the rules and driver's no longer need a CDL if I remember correctly. That was one of the stumbling blocks.

Work with your dealer, Jayco buyers have the option to pick up their own rig from the factory but you are only reimbursed for gas (not paid like a transporter). The good news is this obviously speeds up delivery and you can address any concerns instantly while at the factory. Make sure you have insurance in place before removing it from their lot.

After almost a month after the dealer first called to tell us our trailer was off the line and they expected delivery in a few days, they call to tell us it will be in Friday. We'll see.
