Thumbs up Jayco has impressed me!

We picked up the 23B on 19 Sep in Orlando and camped our way back to Houston. On the way home we found the Jensen stereo/CD/DVD player would randomly turn itself on.
I thought I'd set an alarm or timer or something and we turned the volume off so it wouldn't wake us up at night (makes a nice night light tho). I planned to look into it when we got home.
Since then I've surfed the problem on the Interweb and found a few similar problems reported.
Not wanting to drag it 50-ish miles to the nearest dealer I called ASA (a Jensen rep) and explained my problems (with the stereo) to them. They suggested I call Jayco (warranty work).
I did that yesterday afternoon and again explained my problems and the pain of dragging it to a dealer. They said someone from tech support would call me back, probably within 24 hrs.
Well it's been just about that and guess who just called! We discussed the issue and my reluctance to haul it to the dealer. Since I am comfortable removing and installing it myself they are sending a new one directly to me! They ask that I return the current one after I receive the replacement and they will send me a check for the shipping.
As I said, I'm impressed!
I will report on the replacement when it happens.

The Jayco warranty is very good. I just wish I didn't have to use it so much.

Seann,
No, that was the first thing I checked. The Jayco guy I spoke with told me there have been a "few" reports of this happening. There's a version 1 and a vers 2, supposedly the v2 corrects the problem.....
Stand by for the update.

I received the replacement stereo from Jayco yesterday and installed it this afternoon. So far the problem seems fixed. We are taking a short trip next week (4 days) so I should know soon if the gremlins are gone (from the radio). What a rats nest of wire was behind the stereo! Easy to replace tho, it's all plug-n-play.
A big "thumbs up" to Jayco service folks!
This weekend I will work on installing the fridge fan. Appears to be no full-time 12v source inside so I've got to go out the drain or maybe beside the train tube.

We're in Durant OK for a couple of days and the replacement stereo is working fine. Calling it good.

As we were leaving Houston noticed the fridge wouldn't switch to gas. No gas anywhere! Tank is about 50%. We go ahead and take off, me planning to troubleshoot when we reach the campground.
Long story short, the propane pig-tail wasn't letting any gas thru. Local rv shop didn't have one the right length so a local propane shop made me one. $7.00! Guy says the flow limiter can stick if the gas is turned on abruptly. Ease the gas on slowly. Tapping the tank-end connector may free it up. Mine started working but being suspicious I bought the new one, the old one became the backup.
Livin' and learning'! What school can you go to and learn all this stuff? :hihi:

I think the Local RV shop may have been a Jay dealer so I could have packed up, drug it to them for warranty -oops, the parts guy didn't have the right length-and spent a few hours letting them figure it out and saved my $7. Nope, this was a good trade. Figured it out (with a little help), got a little smarter, spent $7 and was back in gear about an hour later. Sooner or later there'll be something I can't fix but that won't keep me from trying.

Last night the bride and I went to the casino. Cashed a $100 at the craps table left about 45 min later with $99. Woah, Another win! They use cards not dice at the craps table here. Not as much fun but gets the job done.
