Jayco Initiates Sweeping Management Changes | RV Business

For those in the know what do you think this means for Jayco? Is it a positive, a negative or just a meh.

Probably good, since it stream lines the management chart.

Maybe the new management can hold classes on how to install switches and outlets straight.

meh.
Like most changes related to upper management.
One thing you can count on, these types of changes will do nothing to deliver a better product to you, the consumer. As the old saying goes "Change is the illusion of progress"

He seems to be a rising star in the Thor ranks.

That's how it works in most of corporate America.

Ahhh yes, insert the spy into the organization (Thompson, a former Thor executive before moving to Jayco) and then take action.

Just as long as they leave the SUPPORT organization intact as is!!!!

Buy with they promise of leaving it alone. Wait six months, make it look like the rest of their divisions.

Repeat.

What will really be exciting is a Thor Forest River merger.

Not that long ago Heartland, KZ, Coachmen, Fleetwood towables, and of course Jayco and others were all smaller independent companies. Now your choice is basically buy a Thor or Forest River product.

Looks like Winnebago is charging into the towable market, having just acquired Grand Design.

They also purchased Sunnybrook several years ago but as far as towables, they are small potatoes.

For now....... Who knows where they'll go with it. They've been in this business a long time. And then again, they may get bought out next week. A crystal ball would be nice, some times... for lottery numbers and other such trivial things.
