Jayco Visitor's Center 3-27-2017

Hello JOF Community,

The DW and I drove to the Jayco Visitor's Center this morning, simply to check out the units open for inspection and to purchase some items in their store. There were eight units displayed, but nearly as many empty parking spaces, the gal in the center said the company keeps selling units from the display area. There were hundreds and hundreds of new motorhomes and towables, she said the company wants them off their property as soon as humanly possible. One of the transport companies that Jayco uses has a huge lot behind Jayco's property, there had to be 1500 units parked there waiting for delivery, she mentioned that they are in need of more delivery vendors to get these units delivered to dealerships. We attended the factory tour two years ago, we did not attend again today. If you have not yet traveled to Middlebury, Indiana, I am certain that you would be fascinated by Jayco's property and factory tour, it is an awesome sight to see.

Still drinking my coffee out of my travel mug that I got there 2 years ago. It is an interesting tour.

If you visit Jayco, make a stop at The RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum in Elkhart, IN. Overnight parking (boondocking) is OK on either the day before or after your Museum tour.

Made a visit to the nursery in 2014 hoping to catch a glimpse of ours. We knew it was a long shot then realized it was unlikely one we saw the sea of brown front caps. Worth the time if you're in the area.
