Jayco Warranty

Does Jayco's two year warranty on campers cover all appliances or just the frame, wiring, etc.? Are the appliances covered by their own manufacturer warranty?

The appliances are covered under their own warranty through your JAYCO dealer. You will find the same appliances in other brands with only one year,

So my Norcold fridge lasted 1 year, 1 month, and 10 days and I'm stuck with a broken fridge that had a 1 year warranty?

It shouldn't be! Norcold put a 2 yr warranty on the units sold to JAYCO. If your paper work says otherwise your dealer should cover it for you through JAYCO.

Norcold fridges use to come with a 3 year warranty and that was changed in the spring of 2009 to a 1 year warranty. I guess their quality went down, so did the warranty. This information was obtained from their website, will call dealer tomorrow.

You are correct; one year limited warranty. And according to the Jayco towable warranty in the owners' manual for our WhiteHawk, the only thing covered by Jayco for two years is the trailer structure and interior assembled by Jayco. All appliances, electronics, running gear, roof membrane, & and HVAC are warranted by their respective manufacturers.

I would contact Jayco directly on this and see what they can do. I've found going direct in most cases yields the best results.

I had an issue with my Jensen steel/DVD system. Paperwork for the Jensen said 1 yr warranty, I called Jayco and they said take it to a dealer as Jensen increased its warranty on units sold to Jayco to match the Jayco two year warranty. I would start making calls, starting with Jayco then Jensen and dealer.

I had a potty issue after my one year warranty was up and the manufacturer of the unit said it was over one year so tough. Jayco replaced it no charge.

Last month and this is into year 3 and I have the extended warranty from Jayco, my Jensen unit would not eject the DVD. Jayco, through my dealer, send me a replacement at no charge and my dealer waved the deductible since I installed it.
