Just add MONEY!!
We have a new trailer and will be taking it out in a week and a half. I've been slowly stocking it up w/ stuff like small coffee pot, toaster, etc. Well, before you know it, we've spent "a little" bit of money and haven't even left the yard  !! But it's all good and fun. I consider it a challenge on purchasing multi-tasking items to keep the weight down.

We are so looking forward to this 'task.' We've got dedicated trailer towels, trailer bathmat, old milk cartons etc. for stuff in the storage areas, collapsible bowls, 3 ways to make coffee, silverware bought at a garage sale, battery boxes, jacks and jack stands, and.... Really, REALLY, looking forward to having this trailer!

We are in the same boat. Bought our trailer in October (still sitting at the dealer) and we have been slowly buying items for months. I haven't kept track of what we have spent, but I'm sure I probably don't want to know.

I found the TT consumed 75% of the budget and the "necessary" items consumed the remaining 75%. But it's ok because when you look at the big picture it adds up to one damn fine time.

Most of what we've bought for set up we won't ever purchase again, or not for a very long time, anyway. It's like setting up any house for the first time. Maybe we should start a new trend...Trailer Showers!

Oh trust me, we are loving outfitting our new home wheels. We just can't wait to use it this summer. I'm already looking at the calendar for at least one weekend trip a month.

I can remember running to Walmart and Lowes to get little things for the camper all the time. Lately, we just enjoy the trip and can think of nothing else needed to make life more comfortable.

I hear you there, RedHorse1! Spent a small fortune outfitting my rig. In fact, after a year, I'm still spending a small fortune on it. But I have figured out a way to save a small fortune on RV supplies: Step 1 Start with a large fortune. Step 2 Buy an RV. Problem solved! 
The life-style is worth it, though!

My wife always complains about the money pit I bought but she is the one spending the money on it. And all I got is an 18 footer that sleeps three if two of you really like each other. But what she really complains about is all the work I've had to do to the dirt cheap suburban I bought to tow it with. Now there I've found the money pit.

Yes, we're very excited to get our RV as well. Our dining room table is stacked high with items we've already had or recently acquired. Re-sale stores and garage sales have been a great help. I have no idea how much we have spent on miscellaneous stuff. Camping World loves us too for all the stuff we've bought! lol In fact we're headed there today for a few more sale items. Now if the trailer would arrive, we'd be all set.

Our goal is to have everything in the TT that we need except for clothes, food, water, computers & hotspot. I've even pulled together a shaving kit that remains in the TT.
