The initial quote on the damage was about $1600 from the dealership for a new rear main seal and radiator. Luckily the fire didn't burn up the engine, mostly just the old that leaked onto the exhaust system and road. It could have been much worse.

A buddy of mine recommended a local shop that he always uses, and they look like they will beat the dealers estimate by about $500 or more, so things are looking better.

The biggest thing for me is that everyone is OK. "Things" can be fixed or replaced, but the family all being healthy is the real blessing. My 13 year old daughter has a friend that was just diagnosed with cancer, that is a real tragedy. If anyone here can spare some prayers her name is Kristen.
