Ladder Mount Bike Rack??

Forgive me if this has been covered. I did a Jayco Forum search but came up empty.
I know the answers to forum questions often suggest lots of other configurations because people are trying to be helpful.
I understand the plusses and minuses of various arrangements (Tongue mount-best but very expensive, Bumper mount-hazardous, inside the TT, etc). But the people I'd most like to hear from are those who actually use (or have used) ladder mount bike racks. I've seen precious few comments anywhere about whether people who have actually used them like them or not, are they safe, how to control bouncing etc. Thanks.

I used one for several years on mu old SunnyBrook fifth wheel. Did not like it. It was a constant strain on the ladder with 2 bikes on it. Screws kept working loose on the ladder mounts. I eventually sold it at a yard sale and installed a frame mounted receiver on the rear with a bike carrier that supported the bikes on their wheels.

I am contemplating hanging one 16" and later when she outgrows it a 21" on the ladder. I purchased a Yaris 4 bike hitch mount for the other bikes.
I am concerned that it could daqmage the ladder mounts as well, but am against trying to put a bike inside the coach.
