Ladder Recommendation
Hi Everyone, I want to get my DH a ladder for the trailer to take with on camping trips to clear off leaves from slide, etc. and to access roof when at home.
Any recommendations on a good, light one?
TIA!

I have similar model in red. Whenever I get it out at the camp site, the neighbors stop by to check it out or borrow it.

x3 on the extend ladder works great! and is easy to store.
Only downside I see is a pinch potential when you fold it back up make sure your hands are off to the side. (Don't ask me how I know! )

That Extend model is only 8.5 ft when extended fully. Make sure it tall enough taking into consideration that you probably will lose the top two or three rungs. They also have other models that extend to 10.5 ft and 12.5 ft.

Thanks. Our TT is 10" high with the A/C. Do you think the 8.5' ladder would be sufficient to get up there safely? I already ordered it but I can still cancel before it ships. Next step up is the 10.5' (which is red) for $30 more. Thinking I should probably switch to that one...

Sorry I did not notice that in the earlier post. The one I have extends to 10.5' I guess I was just lucky I picked that one. I would swap them out if it is still possible.

I didn't mention the height of our TT initially because I failed to look it up first! [emoji15]
All good, I went ahead and switched out.

Ladders should extend past the object you will be climbing on to be safe, good idea getting the longer one..
I use one also, both around the house and in my TT, it's works great.

I keep a regular commercial grade 6 ft step ladder with me when camping to clean the top of my slide off and look at it before I pull it in. It fits in the back of my truck.
I have taller ladders at home to do roof maintenance.
I worked in construction my entire life and don't really trust any of those gadget fold up ladders.

If the RV is 10 feet tall, you most likely would need the 12.5 ft model to use it to get on the top of the RV. However, the 10.5 ft would most likely be tall enough for the slides. In my opinion the 8.5 ft model would not be sufficient for your RV.

It's kinda big but I love my "little giant" ladder.
6' step or 12' extension.

I posted this also in a different thread.
I happened to pick up one of these Vulcan Ladders on sale this fall for $44.97 on sale, nice compact lightweight combo ladder, 300lb rated, folds up real slim perfect for storage compartment, I have pics but can't get them up right now but here's a link to the site, for those north of the border check Princess Auto, they may even give you the cheaper sale price.
I have yet to unpackage and try it because the camper was in storage already but it appears to be very a solid.

I like my ladder to be at least 18" to 2' taller that what I am climbing onto, and as someone has already said WATCH YOUR FINGERS when collapsing the ladder

Thank you. I bought the one labeled 10.5 feet but on the packaging it says 14.5 reach. ☺
