Leaky door seals on a Swift 154

We just finished our first big trip in our first tt (Jay Flight Swift SLX 154)--4800 miles, lots of elevation changes, no major problems.

The only thing that bugged us (about the tt) was that the couple of times we had to drive through the rain, the trailer door leaked. I think spray from the road was being driven through the bottom seals of the door.

Is this normal? A warranty issue, or something we just learn to live with?

Thanks!

I would not think it would be normal and would not want to live with it. The bottom seal of the door should be enough to keep normal spray out in my opinion.

I would inspect the door carefully and see if there are any gaps or problems. Easiest way is to send your DW outside with a flashlight while you look at the door in the dark. Have her move the flashlight around the door seal and see if light comes through somewhere.

If you can not easily locate and fix the problem, give your dealer a call and see what they have to say. Adding some type of weather strip should not be a big deal.

Not normal, I would get it fixed as it could eventually rot the floor by the door. Been there done that with my previous TT. It is a warranty issue.
