Learned 2 lessons

#1 They don't close the grey/black water valves after the "walk through" when you get your new travel trailer.
This causes an issue if you stop and use the restroom a couple of times on the long road home. 😜 Look out when you take the sewer cap off!!!

#2. Related to #1 when the exhausr fan is turned on in the bathroom there is a bad smell in the bedroom. I figured this one out. I had the sewer hose connected to the sewer. We did not have a w/d installed so there is shelving and paneling covering up all of the plumbing in the closet. They grey valve to the washing machine holding tank was still open and the tank was empty. The exhaust fan was pulling the sewer gases into the trailer through the washing machine drain that apparently isnt capped! Closed the valve, problem solved.

#1 is hilarious!!! Sorry but that definitely sounds like something I'd do.

From now on I'll bet that the last thing you do before opening that cap is ensure the valves are closed

Almost ran into #1 myself... During the PDI the guy doing the walkthrough opened and closed all of the valves to prove to me that they worked, so I knew there was at minimum water in the pipe. Needless to say, I stood as clear as I could while taking the cap off, but still trying to catch what I could in the sewer pipe vs. letting it run all over the ground.
