That is the time I dont have a problem.. coming in from Mexico I get treated real well ( so far)
I sure wish we could go back to the, almost, open boarder we used to have

My hot water heater won't drain unless you take the plug out. So what I did was find a brass fitting that screwed into the heater then screwed a drain plug from a radiater in the fitting, using teflon tape, now just open the door and turn the drain plug and let it drain.

I've thought of doing the same thing. But then I remembered that when I took the drain plug out, more than just water came out. There were small chunks of mineral deposits. I like to flush my tank out each year.

As mentioned in my prior post, I use the low point drain method between camping trips to drain my HW tank, but before putting my TT away for the winter I remove the plastic drain plug for a final flush as well.
If you inspect the drain plug you will notice that the inside cavity of the plug will collect sediment (designed to do so), thus I replace with a new plug every year. I have cleaned out the plug cavity before and reused (w/white tape), but have found that a fresh set of plastic threads doesn't give me any leaking issues during the camping season.
