I always take mine out of the camper and store it in the basement during the winter. I would think the only way to winterize it would be to pour antifreeze in the water compartment and run it through a couple of cycles. I don't have any idea how long it would take to flush it out the next time you wanted to use it. IMO, the best move is remove it for the winter.

I've left mine in the camper all it's life, three winters. Never occured to me to winterize it. I just drain it. I assumed the lines drained. Anyway, I've never had a problem.....THUS FAR. It is in the camper for this winter. I will let you know next spring.

I turned mine ice maker upside down to get all of the water out. I wasn't sure if I got it all out, so I brought it home and it is now in my heated basement.
