Exclamation LED Taillight upgrade find!

I'm not 100% sure if this had been found and posted on here already but I was searching online today for LED upgrade for my Monarch brand taillights and after about 20 mins of searching () I came across these.....

http://led4rv.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=292

It seems like I have seen at least a few people on here looking for a simpler upgrade for these lights, so I figured I would share with my fellow Jayco owners.

you can get better ones for less money.... just look at plug in replacement bulbs... not whole new units.... I get 2 running light led's for about $12.00 a package Tail/brake lights depends on how fancy you want to get...

I've been thinking about doing this with all of my lights. Anyone know where the cheapest source is? I just want to replace the bulbs...

Being retired from the lighting industry, be very careful of "cheap LED's". LED's have to be controlled very precisely for them to provide the light they are capable of and at the lower wattage we are all looking for. Not to mention actual life. LED's that don't have good control circuits built into them don't last long, burn at higher wattage (more heat), and can provide poor quality of light.
I only buy from sources with good warranty, known to stand behind their product, but not frequently at the lowest price.
All LED light bulbs are NOT created equal.

92JaycoCDS,

Good find on the LED link, wasn't aware of that source/product. Always good to know what's out there because some applications require a specific type of LED up-grade.

A friend of mine upgraded his TT tail lights to LED's with good results, and he used the following source/product: http://www.commandelectronics.com/led-tail-lights.html

with these ones you dont have to replace the whole assembly.... just the bulb. the inside reflector stays where it is and you reuse the lense. all you have to do is take the bulb out, plug these ones in and re-install the lense. No gluing or modifying needed.
