I have those exact clips that Snake has in his pics. Bought them in the camp gorund supply store when I bought the latest set of lights. They work well. Sometimes they slip a little but they don't get past the fringe trim on the awning.

Think I got about 10 for $4.00 or close.

I have rope lights that attach to a special runner that slips into the utility tube in the awning. They are bright enough that I don't have to use my patio light and since they are behind the fabric of the awning they won't bother any of my neighbors.

I just bought 2 sets of solar LED rope light at Harbor Freight Tools for $14.99 each. I let them charge up during the day and wow are they bright at night. Good investment.

I have rope lights but I dont hang them from the awning.. I stake them to the ground... makes it different from everyone else....

We have a few sets but my favorites are these I found on craigslist for $8.00. They remind me of something from the 50's/60's. The pretty women are my wife and our Granddaughter.

Wow young looking grandma

I like those lights too. Almost picked up some solar multicolored maple leaf lights to night but was not quite sure. Kind of want something amber colored eith white cords. Have not found it yet sigh. ..

Locky66, we bought the same set of lights for my in- laws as a present and they gave them to us about 7 years ago. We have used them ever since. Just haven't used them on our new trailer because we would need a second string. Nice looking family btw.

That's why I refuse to put any lights on my awning. DW is not happy about that, but I refuse to let my awning be held hostage by lights.

Have a string of these from the small pots that we still use and several of the large pot lights. My son and his G'father used to make them for all of the family. Must have made 20 sets by the time they quit.

Give alot of light with the right bulb. Take the base off and works as a downlight.

I have a rope light permanently installed to my roller tube. I roll the awning with it in place. I installed it about 7 years ago. Has not caused a problem or hurt the awning yet.

We use rope lites to light up the ground around he camper, and the round globe type in the utility slot in the awing, works well for us.

How does one do that? I would like something like that if I could figure out how.

I use Awning Hook-Ups (http://www.rvawninglights.com/) that slide into the awning tube slot. I bought a rope light longer than my awning. I mounted the rope light into the clips with the power end toward the rear of the trailer. I use zip ties to secure the ends of the rope light to the awning tube. I cut off the excess rope light on the forward end of the awning and sealed the cut end with clear silicone and removed the cap from the excess end to go over the silicone (optional).

I roll the entire assembly up with the awning after unscrewing the removable power cord.

The clips leave "bumps" in the vinyl awning. I replaced the rope light itself a few years ago because a section of the lights went our. But, rope lights are cheap.

I'll look on my computer for pictures. If I can't find them I'll take a few new pictures if anyone is interested.

We have a couple of sets of wine bottles and grapes which we really like. Not real bright which we like but are a great accent at night.

Easy to clip on the awning when we had the 25' Nomad TT but now with the Pinnacle will need a ladder...or do something else.

Also have a bunch of solar ground lights that we put around the campsite.
