Lippert axle?

I just found out that the fifth wheel I have on order uses lippert axles and I thought it had dexter. I have heard bad things about lippert axles in the past, is this still true? Anyone with knowledge of these please chime in, thanks in advance.

My '17 has Lippert axles. So far, with about 3500 miles on them they are fine. Not sure of longevity.

Three others and I have very weak brakes that have grease on them.
More guys on here have complained about the braking.
Some will agree, some will not agree..I think they stink.

Yes they did...but I'm pretty sure it's still Dexter parts.

As I understand it Lippert purchased the Dexter frame manufacturing part of Dexter, not the Axle division.

That might make more sense

I'm not 100% sure if there is a correlation but some of us with lippert axles have had braking problems. Could be the brakes, could be the poor assembly of the parts but it's something to be aware of. Interestingly one of the new north point "improvements" for 2018 is standard Dexter axles

It looks like some of the 2018 models are switching to dexter axles. I'm thinking if the HT's are switching to dexters I am going to make sure that's what I want. Anyone hear anything about the HT's switching to dexter?
