maiden voyage complete

Finally got the maiden voyage in. Went to the coast of Maine for the Memorial Day weekend. Weather was super and all went well. Had a combination of back road and turnpike driving. No white knuckle experiences and am (super) pleased with how the Skylark towed. Was very comfortable and to this point have no issues to report. Have included a few photos which were taken as we were leaving to come back to NH. The combination of 4 runner and Skylark provided 14.2 miles per gallon. Not thrilled, but am happy. Photos will be included in my album.

Mileage suffers any time you tow. I think 14.2 is good towing mileage. Our rig gets about 8mpg.

I have to agree...14.2...I'd be bragging about that. I'd almost be happy at 8. Our first trip this weekend with our new 26BH and I got 6.9 going and slightly better coming home. Glad you had a good trip for your first outting.

Thats real good mileage, I get about 9 to 9.5 towing but I am also at 17,000pounds going down the road. Ernie

just reread my post, either I bought two campers or I need a check up from the neck up. Our first trip out, I towed a 28BHS, not the 26bh I apparently was bragging about.
In anycase, glad your first outting was a grand success, here is to many many more!

Where did you stay in Maine? We will be headed to Maine this summer. Glad your maiden voyage went well.
