Maximum Air pressure for rims

There has been a lot talk about rims being rated for xx air pressure. Where do you find out how much they are rated for? I have a 31 ft DSRE White Hawk with the aluminum.

Unfortunately there's not a uniform rim marking standard as there are uniform tire marking standards. Sometimes the maximum air pressure is stamped on the rim, either on front or back side, and sometimes inside the rim. Sometimes there is a tag stuck to the rim with the information. Sometimes there is nothing.

If your rim has a manufacturer and model on it, you could contact the manufacturer and ask. My fifth wheel came with load range D tires - 65 PSI maximum inflation on Dexstar steel rims. When I decided to upgrade to load range E tires at 80 PSI I confirmed with Dexstar that I had 80 PSI rims.

I emailed Jayco with my vin. no. and they assured me that the rims could stand the upgrade.

Should be stamped on the inside of the rim.

The aluminum rims on my White Hawk are rated at 60 PSI These are Sendel rims and info is per website.

I want to move up to D rated Maxxis tires and will inflate them to 60 PSI. I am assuming this is a cold rating for the tires.

Maybe a bad assumption.
