Mid-year Interior Design Changes

For anyone that has a unit on order, or may be shopping for a new one, be aware that Jayco may have made changes over the past couple of weeks. Eagle fifth wheels were definitely affected, but I don't know what other models might have been.

DW happened to look at the floor plan of the unit we have on order (Eagle 323LKTS) on Thursday and noticed that the couch had changed from a trip-fold sleeper to a "curved" sectional-style couch, something we DID NOT want. Called the dealer and they hadn't heard a word about changes but promised me they'd look into it. I learned from them late yesterday that Jayco made several changes right before their open house a couple of weeks ago, but also that orders placed before the changes were made would get the "original", so thankfully we're getting the tri-fold that we originally wanted...

May not be an issue for anyone else, but wanted folks to be aware of it just in case. IIRC about this time last year there was someone whose new unit came in with furniture that was different from what they'd ordered too. Don't remember what the final outcome was though...

When we received our unit, it had different style/color of chairs other than what we ordered. Luckily for us the dealer had another unit on the lot with the correct chairs and switched them out for us. The model was different but the chairs were the same. We pay enough for these units and it's nice to receive them as ordered, unless you like it better the way it came.

Robkelly, we are planning to order. How do we find out if there were changes to the model we are ordering?

When we ordered our 2014 Eagle, it had a 40" tv above the fireplace mounted on the wall. When our unit came in, it had a 32" pop up tv from behind the fireplace. Not what we ordered and we would not accept the unit as we had specified all our options on our order. Dealer ordered us another one and made sure it came in as we had ordered. The first unit set on his lot until last month when he had reduced it about 45%. Someone got a really good deal!

To the best of my knowledge the Jayco website has been updated to reflect all the changes that were made for 2016, and that's where DW caught the changes on ours.

Keep in mind that Jayco will be starting to build the '17s in about a month, so there will likely be additional changes coming. Depending on timing your dealer should be able to tell you what they are, but the website won't be updated until some time this summer.
