My Eagle 266 RKS has a box that's roughly 26.6' long (O.A. length just short of 30'); it has a Rear Kitchen and a Slide-out. I believe John (our member Jayco Rep) has confirmed that - while the model numbers once indicated the trailer length - today, they are relatively meaningless, and are generally marketing tools used to designate "class".

Keep 'em Coming!

In the "Forum Admin and Announcements" forum there is a sticky thread entitled What Do Those Letters Stand For (Acronyms).

This thread covers a variety of acronyms with their associated meanings and is a good source for definitions. There are a few, like BH = Bunk House, but not many other codes that are used for the infinite (and constantly growing) number model designation codes used by Jayco and other manufacturers.

To get the acronyms list up-to-date, I'll update it with those that are posted in this thread.

Thanks in advance to those folks that take the time to post the missing ones.

Have a great day!

It's interesting how the 266 has changed. Our 2000 Eagle 266 FBS is listed in the brochure as having a total length of 28' 4".

I believe (in our case) the 266 refers to the "box size" of the TT rather than its total length.

That same "Class" measurement is also used with televisions. They advertise a television's screen size as being "32" class" when the actual size slightly less than that. To me, it's nothing more than another "confusionary" term to make the consumers think they're getting their money's worth- just as fuel prices are almost always presented with 9/10ths of a cent.

Bunk house, bath entry. You have an entry door into your bathroom...

I have a 1993 Eagle Series 265 FS. According to the specs it is 26.5 ft long. I have no idea what FS is for. It's not front slide... don't have one.
