I am on the road and need new tires. Any recommendations. Big trailer, 32bhds. Please tell me what you have and what to get. Thank you.

We went with S637 Sailuns from Trailertiresandwheels.com. So far we're pretty happy with them. They are great to talk to on the phone and are full of information. Their shipping was VERY quick also.

Ok, the maxxis sound good, but where to buy quickly in Phoenix

Maxxis website says discount tire, yet when I call discount tire they don't carry them.

Do your self a favor and put on the Sailun's.

Check Big O's in the Phoenix metro. If they don't have them in stock they can get them overnight or from another store.

Don't be swayed!!

Discount Tire should be able to order the Maxxis.

Only brand I would buy!

I would suggest the Carlisle RH's or new HD's, or the Maxxis. Regardless of what you do buy, if possible go up to an E rated tire from the factory D load range. Just make sure your rims can handle the higher air pressure. The max psi or max weight rating should be stamped on the back side of the rim, or "inside" requiring a tire removal. Having a higher weight capacity will give you a little more "reserve capacity".

The Carlisle's are also speed rated a little higher, 81mph (if I remember right) for the 15", and last I knew was 75mph for the 16". Not suggesting this so you can travel faster, but again for a larger "cushion" between travelled speed and tire rating.

Good luck!!!

OK, could not find the maxxi, got greenball towmaster at Costco

I would have gone with Maxxis, but no one in Phoenix carries them locally, and I have reservations in Sequoia in a couple of days, then Yosemite after that. I can't get behind schedule or my 6 week trip gets very complicated.

I went to Costco and got the Greenball Towmaster, load e. Yes, they are made in China, but it seems they all are. At least when I google the reviews I don't read the many negative reviews that Carlisle and Marathons get. Hope I made the right choice, I had to make a quick decision,, and Costco had these in stock.

I will let you know.

Good luck, hope the rest of the trip goes well!!!

Concerning the Carlisle, from my understanding it is the older models that were the issue. Since the introduction of the RH's (maybe even a little before that), there have been a lot of positive reviews.

Have a fun and safe trip!!!

Best thing about buying at Costco is the warranty/customer service..
