New Eagle 330 RLTS with leak

On our second trip to our set up camper, we discovered "water" leaking when washing out black water tank. We are seasoned campers and never had a problem like this before. With this being a sealed unit and under warranty, I will be calling Jayco, with this and a few other things. What does everyone think we need to watch out for? Can it be fixed on my site?

Were you using the built in black tank washer? There have been quite a few reports on them leaking where they go into the tank. You would have to drop the underbelly to get to it.

I have used my black tank flush only once so far. I have not noticed any leak. Do you see it leaking from under the trailer somewhere? If it is leaking there you can only get to it by dropping under cover.

When you dump the black tank, is it coming out ok. Mine does not seem to flow out very fast at all. I really have to raise the front of the trailer to completly emty the tank. I have look for some plugged pipes, but they are wide open.

pull the inside cover of your AC check the 4 bolts for tightness, there is a thread that talks about it so I checked and sure enough 3 of the 4 were loose, also check the tape on the seal on your slideouts, many have puckered tape that isn't doing its job, all three of my slides have the messed up tape. Check all your inside water lines for leaks at the fittings. And many have said the black tank sprayer leaks when being used. LOL this is all I can think of............Happy camping!

Our 330rlts leaked out of the underbelly when washing out the black tank.
Where the black tank sprayer enters the tank there is a nipple that needs to be removed, put teflon tape on the nipple and reinstall it. (As Lady Fitzgerald said you will have to drop the underbelly to get to the nipple.) Make sure your underbelly insulation is dry or it will mold.

We appreciate the suggestions and input. That was what we were hoping for. Will check out the other thing, and research black water flush. We never had a problem with the one on my aunt Wildcat camper since she had it.(She camps on the site next to our and we take care of it as well as ours.). What can we do about service, can the do it at the site?

Jayco might ok a mobile service but I really wouldn't count on that.

An authorized Jayco dealer may have mobile service but only the cost of the repair itself is likely to be covered by the warranty. You would probably have to pay for the travel charge yourself.
