New jayco owner

Just purchased a 2015 Jayco 267BHSW and I'm super pumped to have found this forum.
Couple things so far.....
I am picking my trailer up next week and need to purchase my hitch and sway system (probably andersen) but I need to know the thickness of the tounge where the stabilizers mount onto the trailer. Does anyone know where I can find that info?
Also does anyone use a bumper mounted BBQ? Thinking of going this route with my new trailer. I used a porta chef with my old trailer and found it a little small and short. Whats the best kind to use?

I'm not a fan of the bumper BBQ as it is very close to the TT, would be concerned with splatters and the like.

Congrats on the new TT. I have the bumper mount grill but don't use it...have a little Smokey Joe that does the trick. Bought a table to sit it on and has worked great for us.

Congrats on the new trailer and welcome to the forum.

I use my bumper mounted BBQ and it works great. It is far enough from the trailer and I love the fact that I simply connect the quick connect hose and turn the handle and start it up. Sets up in a minute and no extra tanks needed.

Welcome from Red Deer also, congrats on your new unit, did you pick your unit up from Western. Just pulled mine home on Friday from their lot, they where very good to deal with. I cant help you with the hitch, I know I had screwed those sway clamps onto one of my trailers so tight, started to dent the frame work. I know the quick coupling of the BBQ is a good plan, just working on that now. Enjoy your unit. Cheers.

We actually bought our TT from mornville. Same unit was a lot cheaper and they added a bunch of extras than what Western was going to do. Only downfall is we need to wait another couple weeks as its still in the building process, should be shipped this week hopefully.

Nice, good plan on saving some cash, that will help add some of the other toys a guy needs. Our last unit was bought from Sherwood Park for the same reason you found. Sometimes the local boys just don't feel like making a deal, always good to have options. The waiting is the hardest part, we ordered last Nov, just pulled it home....Good luck with the unit and happy camping this spring/summer.

Congrats. My bumper grill extends out from the side on a steal post. Works great, no concerns. Quick connect to propane makes it very nice

Welcome from Kelowna and congrats on the new TT. I run with the Andersen hitch on our 28BHBE, but TV is a Silverado 3500HD. I find that the Andersen does NOT transfer all weight back to the front axle. Not so much an issue for an HD series truck, but i don't think it will work adequately with the Avalanche coil spring rear suspension. JMO.
We have used the bumper mount BBQ, but prefer the Coleman Roadtrip as we can have it closer to the rest of the cooking rather than on the other side of the bathroom door almost in the bushes
