You made me for a second Jeff
I build houses for a living. I had to run outside in the dark to measure between the wheel wells.
I utilized the LED box lights ...there's 4'2 between.

It was the best time to get the "older" body style. End of body style and introduction of the new one. Guess I'm getting the 2017. Not my choice but...
BTW..towing caps are LOWER on the new 17's. More torque (925) but less tow cap...who'd figure? Maybe it's because of the new boxed frames and it adds weight...I don't know.

The rear end didn't squat as much as my 2012 with my 13300# NorthPoint.
Truck looks and feels level. I had to add Timbrens to the 2012 to get it level.
Pulls a lot better

KLASSIC - glad it's wide enough for that plywood, but I really wasn't thinking about the width when I made my post - my concern was the length. Maybe my eyes, but it didn't appear in the photo to look like a long bed (8').

Oh..lol.
I'm used to the short beds for carrying stuff like that.
For the most part I never put the tailgate down and put it all in on an angle.
Im a little disappointed with the size and location of the sliding window though. I could carry quite a bit of 16' lengths through the window of my last 4 trucks. This one is a little small and doesn't really have a bottom ledge like the others had.
This truck is more for driving and less for working. I can't stand the thought of getting dirt and mud on the LED lit "PLATINUM" door sill plate.

Like I said in my first observation post, ".. a 4WD Limo". I'll bet you still have a real truck for real work.

OK, OK - to the crux of the situation; despite the short bed, I admit I'm envious. Tell you what, I'll trade my '13 Silverado for your new rig. Deal?

Duuuuuude........ You must have Santa fooled pretty bad... The old SOB just left me a blow out and a ruined wheel. Maybe if I quit callin' him an old SOB he'd get off of that kind of stuff. Merry Christmas!

Huh! All I got was a lump of coal - what could I be doing wrong? Never mind; I probably don't want to know.
