Post Newbie here

Hi all,

Just thought I would say thanks for all the advice i found here. Looking at buying our first TT and thought it would be good to read thru some of the posts here at this site before I sign a check.

Glad I did, makes me feel like I can make a much more informed decision.

looking at a new Jayco 287BHBE, 2014

I have the dealer at about 26% off the sticker price, don't know if I will get to the full 30% but we will see.

Thanks again for a great site.

Keep working them we got over 30% on ours and it was a new build not dealer stock, get a free quote from rv direct and compare the two that will tell you how much more room you have, we did not buy from rv direct but used it as a price guide for leverage

Still working it, have another 5% off, that would be around 31% total if my math is right.

Welcome to JOF. Mark up on RVs is high. Even at 31% I bet the dealer is making money.

Welcome - this is a great site to learn from. We just bought our 2nd new Jayco, the first from RV Direct and this one from a closer dealer.

Well we did it, have it home now. We were able to get the price we wanted and a few extras like upgraded sewer hose, clear 45 deg elbo, wheel chocks, water hose, ect.....

They were still smiling so I don't think we were to hard on them. Were able to by local, less that 12 miles from the house.

Thanks for all the help here, this is a great sight for us newbies. I am sure I will have lots of questions as we get a chance to use our new home away from home.

Hey, Papa, that's great! Congratulations on both the rig and the deal. And welcome to The Forum, as well.

Congratulations Papa on your negotiations. It always feels good to have a strong win. I like that you were able to buy so close to home. You'll love the Jayco 2 year warranty. Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum!
