noise from hitch

2nd trip with the 32BHDS. I noticed alot of unsettling noise from the hitch. Mainly when turning a corner. Seems to be coming from the pivot point on the ball connection.
Anyone else experience this?
Corrections?
Thanks

What hitch are you using? Some (like the Equal-i-zer) are notorious for being noisy. It usually involves greasing a friction point, but let us know, and we can make a more informative suggestion.

Without knowing what WDH are you using. Make sure to grease the ball at minimum, I just use regular old high temp bearing grease. On my unit, I have to grease about every 1500 miles, or the noise starts to come back. I also have an Equalizer brand WDH. The pivot points at the WDH can be lubed. There I use 600 wt rear axle grease. Equalizer sells a small tube of grease you can use, but I bet regular bearing grease would work too. I do lube this area a bit more often. I have ZERO hitch noise when lubed.

I think its a Elite brand WDH. I also used it on my 26BW with limited noise. Hauling out there would be noise. On the return trip, after hitching to the truck same way, the noise would appear. I tried some high temp grease on the ball with very little success.
Not sure working correctly means noise.

Hitches can make alot of noise. The noise doesn't neccessarily mean bad. Slow turns can make it screech and whine..it's not hurting anything. It's just some folks don't like the noise. My father always toldme, if it's groaning and whining...it's working. There are some manufacturers that don't recommend greasing the friction points. Greased friction points can eliminate some of the sway properties of particular hitches.

Unless it's that POP during the hard parking lot turn that lets you know you forgot to put the little clips in 200 miles ago.

The Equal-i-zer Sway Bracket Jackets combined with their lubricant greatly reduced the noise from my hitch. I haven't noticed any reduction in sway control.

We run a Equalizer and most of the time it sounds like one of the dogs got their tail closed in the door but that's how I know its working.
