Just to point out - the class action lawsuit is NOT the same as the recall information posted above. The lawsuit is claiming that there are later versions, and different models not covered in the recall, that have had problems, and those owners should be compensated for the cost (or potential cost).

But that begs the question - if the additional models are potential fire hazards, how big is the issue, and is there a "fix" available? All well and good you get a check for $50 (or whatever), but if all you can spend it on is by keeping everything the same, is it really worth anything? If this too is a serious safety issue, why shouldn't the company be forced to expand the recall, rather than just give a rebate? This smacks more of lawyers makin' money at either the expense of doing the right thing (forcing an actual fix to the problem) - or by greatly exaggerating the potential for an issue.

I'm not sure if its all 2015 models, the serial numbers on mine were not the ones listed. I have not received anything in the mail either.

Got a second notice today with a different claim number. Went ahead and filled out the claim form on-line. Interesting that we got two for the one FW and refrigerator the we own. Probably will get a huge award as the form seems to indicate that we will get 5 shares, if any. Whoop tee do!!!!!!!!

Got one in the mail also. If you read all the information in the filing papers (go to the website), Norcold has settled on a 32 million payout. As we all know you will only get a very small portion ($35-$50) usually. The beneficiaries are usually the lawyers and NOT the consumer. Has anyone gotten anything in return on the suit? If so what was the outcome?

Got a notice too. Well technically my buddy did since he was the original owner, but he passed it onto me.

Last time I signed up as a class action suit, I got like a whooping $3 or so.

Saw this today...Here is the website with information about filing a claim with Norcold. It looks like you do not need to still own the unit to be able to file your claim. We just traded in our 2011 256RKS and I'm going to go ahead an file and see what I get.

This states that it covers Model 1200 manufactured 2002-2012 and Model N6 manufactured 2009-2013. They settled in April 2016 and the deadline to file a claim is 8/26/16.

My 2012 N8 Norcold fridge [which is included in the lawsuit] is functioning properly although the lines are showing some signs of corrosion. I'm more interested in Norcolds 3 year extended warranty which is a provision of the lawsuit.

The settlement has not yet been approved by the court. According to the recall website the hearing to approve the settlement is in September. RV owners identified as having one of the Norcold models that are the subject of the suit have til August 26th. to file a claim.

That said, our White Hawk has an N611 in it that was the subject of a recall, I believe to install a heat shield somewhere on the cooling unit. When we picked the trailer up from the dealer after orientation, the service department confirmed the recall repair had been completed prior to delivery. But that was a separate issue from this class action suit, which according to all I've read involves a claim of corrosion of tubing in the cooling unit tubes resulting in ammonia gas leaks and potentially fires. If I read the website info correctly after filing the online claim, N6/N8 series owners will receive a 3 year warranty extension on the cooling unit if the settlement is approved.

And the attorneys will get 25% of the the proposed $36,000,000 settlement fund.........

Claim submitted. Looks like I could get 5 shares, whatever that means. I have the N611RT manufactured 9/09.

I wonder how that extended warranty works if you have an older trailer like mine built in 09. Is the warranty effective for 3 years after the court settlement or after the original warranty expired.....

My N811flt is included in the recall. Claim filed today.

Has worked flawlessly since new in 2011. I too would be happy with more warranty coverage. Mine is long out.
