Okanagan Recommendations

Looking to spend a couple of weeks in the Okanagan in July. Any recommendations on a nice quiet campground? Anywhere between Vernon and Penticton would be good. Full services would be best.

We stayed at Wood Lake RV Park and Marina last summer, which is located in Winfield -- about 1/2 way between Kelowna and Vernon. (Well, maybe a bit closer to Kelowna, then Vernon). Anyhow, it is a fairly large park and popular with families, but at no time did I find it noisy, per say. The noisiest area are the spots by the lake, so if you stay away from there, you'll be fine. I think we stayed in spot 35 or 36, I can't remember which. Spots are tight, but they always seem to be in full service places. The location is great as it gives you quick access to Kelowna, Vernon and Pentiction. Grey Monk Winery is just up the road and worth a tour. There is a off-leash dog park a five minute walk away, if you have one and the park is located in a quiet residential area, yet just off the 97. Lots of Albertans there!

We stayed at Canyon Farm in the hills of Kelowna, last July.It only has 8 sites and a gate that is controlled with a code provided. We had a great 2 night stay, did lots of site seeing and cycling on the Trestles, a 20km decommissioned track bed, very easy ride. Only complaint is that it was 40C when we arrived. There was the Smith Creek forest fire during our stay. The Owner is very personable and the place is spotless. We would return for sure. Check out their web site.

Tween lakes (spelling wrong) at the S end of Kalamalka lake appered to be a quite place when I was camped near there a few years ago at a private resort.
