Oklahoma RV Lemon Law?

Members of the Oklahoma Recreational Vehicle Association (ORVA) endorsed state Sen. Dan Newberry during the organization’s annual convention June 26-28 at the Osage Casino Hotel in Skiatook.

Republican Newberry, who helped the association kill a Lemon Law in the mostly recently adjourned state Legislature, was renominated the next day for the fall election.

”We had to work on killing the bill for the entire first part of the year,” said Sheril Vergara, partner with RH Power & Associates and ORVA executive director. ”Dealers were encouraged by his presentation on the role that small business plays in Oklahoma.”

Maybe I miss-read this.
Why would any type of consumer vehicle association/organization help kill a Lemon Law? We purchasers of sub-standard and unsafe vehicles and sloppy warranty repairs need help. And it's not readily coming from the manufacturer or the dealers of RVs. The warrany (safety) repairs I needed took way too much time and work, on my part. There seemed to be no way to get these issues resolved without a lot of grief on our part.
The whole vehicle industry needs encouragement to maintain higher quality standards. And too often encouragement means having to use a financial stick.

This is the RV Dealers Association...............they never want a lemon law. It would make their life miserable, they want us the consumer miserable.
