On the Road to New Mexico

Somebody told me the weather was better in New Mexico than in western Washington. So, SWMBO and I are on the road! Parked in a nice park in eastern Oregon for the night!

First vacation trip of the summer. Only problem so far was the gas light on the fridge blinking. Think it might have had something to do with the propane being off.

Yep - a bit envious for sure... we won't be headed down that way again with the trailer until September. We've stayed at Farewell Bend State Park in eastern Oregon a couple of times as well as Three Island Crossing State Park in Idaho and Willard Bay State Park north of Ogden, UT. All were clean, well kept and right along the way.

Safe travels and enjoy the "nicer" weather...

You will love it down here been 100+ all week 103 as I post and 104 predicted for 18th. There is a major forest fire in the Manzano Mountains. 16000 acres plus last report, 24 homes, 21 other buildings in two counties lost so far, smoke is headed N/W toward Tucamcari. Safe travels.
