IMHO, the new Colorado will handle what you have without much issue. Though I agree with Norty. Personally, I would rather have a little more truck, like the 1500/150 series. The advantage is that you will have expansion opportunities. If you decide to upgrade your TT to something in the 24foot range, a 1500/150 will still work great. Just my two cents.
Actually the wife and I discussed this at length before we bought the truck. It is just the 2 of us and we really don't want a bigger camper. At one time we had a 35 foot 5er and a 3/4 ton chevy diesel, nice but it was just to much

I had an 2005 Colorado and have had the opportunity to drive a 2015 a few times. There really isn't a comparison. The 2015 is a completely different truck.

Got that right, don't get me wrong I loved my first generation colorado but the new one is amazing
