Our First wknd in our First Rv, all good

Well we are now officially RV'ers! We spent the past wknd
at Annapolis River Rv Park in Bridgetown, NS.

We were slow to get away from the house. Only real issue was
trying to get RV lined up on hitch. Had to back in on an angle, anD
it took quite a few tries :-(

The drive to the Campsite was uneventful, after about 30 mins
felt very comfortable. Heavens opened up about 15 minutes
befor we arrived, thankfully it stopped just before we arrived
at the RV park.

We did get to use everything, except Air conditioner, and it all ran
great. Especially thankful for furnace. Temperature dropped to
5 celcius all three nights.

Things we found that would be nice/better. Lights above bed,
in our 22fb, shine directly in your eyes when you try to use them.
Would be nice if they were closer to or even on the wall behind you.
Shelving in the cupboard (which l read about here) defintrly would
help increase usable space.
A TV in the bedroom is a must (my Wife and I watch from bed at home).
Although it still makes me shake my head to have a TV, and with cable!!,
while your Camping! ;-)

The tow home was uneventful, although I did pass an older gentleman on a 2 lane highway. Backing it up went fairly well, got it into driveway in a
reasonably short time. Did break a key off in the rear storage lock. All three
were sticky, but shouldn't be hard to fix.

All in all it was a very good wknd. As for gas, I didn't keep close track, but we burnt between 2/3 to 3/4 of a tank of gas. ($110-120). 450 kms

Sounds like it was a good first trip. I also broke off a key in the front compartment. I crawled through the other side and unscrewed the lock. The lock assemblies were dry and needed a little graphite in them. Key # 751 fits most of these locks, I got a set of 4 on ebay for a few bucks. Some have changed out the locks to a different key so the universal one will not fit. There is a place for a TV mount/cable in our bedroom but have not put one there yet.

We also had our first weekend camping in our new 22FB. I agree about the cupboard for clothes beside the bed. I would really like some shelves in there. Other than that I loved everything about the new trailer!

Try putting a Post-it Notes (2 7/8 x 4 7/8) on the back part of the light above your
head. It will block the glare from the light, but give you plenty of light to read by.
