Pennsylvania Owners?

We will be having our first RV state inspection on Friday. We will be taking it to a local dealer. The guy said we don't need to leave it, it won't take long. What do they look at and what should we be prepared for?
We are planning on checking things out ourselves today, but as you know if you live here, it is cold and snowy!
Thanks in advance!

I am taking mine in on Thursday this week to a rv(non Jayco) dealer. I let it hooked to the truck and they check the registration/ tags, lights, pull the breakaway pin(need your battery as always hooked up and charged) and then pull one of the wheels on each side to measure brake linings and tire condition. They will also do a road test where you can ride along( it's your truck) and ask questions. I think I pay about $40 and takes less then a hour. I have developed a good relationship with them and they know I fix what I can(repack bearings, etc)

Thank you so much! I took it this morning and was in and out in about 30 minutes. The funny thing is I made the appointment for April to avoid bad weather. Woke up to snow!

I'm with RMGROSE - heck, we probably go to the same dealer. Took my TT to the dealer for inspection & pre-season checkup, took maybe an hour and I never even unhitched. The PA state inspection isn't a real big deal: According to code they check ownership/VIN/license plate; lighting; doors & windows; floor; frame; tires; brakes; do a road test. And that's about it. So if it's fairly new, the inspection is likely to be pretty much a formality.

Good luck!

Roger
