Pleated Shade Problem
Has anyone had this happen to them?
Now the shade doesn't go up or down.
Thanks.

Yup, been there. Take the shade down and re-string with new string. I just used some cotton string we found at Hobby Lobby.

I re-strung one of ours that had completely detached. You just have to be careful to get the direction and the threading of the string right. There is a Youtube video that helped tremendously.
I bought the exact cord at a craft store, and used long craft needles to feed it through.

If the cord isn't broken, you may be able to fix by loosening the screw in the cord holder, adjust the tension by turning the cord holder. Then tighten the screw to hold in position

The picture shows that the end cap has come loose from the left hand side of the blind - it's visible near the adjustment wheel. That end cap has a grommet through which the string passes. It's possible that just tension adjustment and replacement of the end cap are needed to return your blind to proper function; or you may need all of that plus new string. The end cap just sticks into the bottom plastic rail of the blind; the end cap will fit in only one way - be careful not to break its plastic tabs.
I buy my blind string from fixmyblinds.com

Thanks for the tips everyone! Yes, the string is still in tack. This just happened and the camper is only a few months old. Although it sounds minor. I tried sliding the plastic end camp back in and then it would push the other one out so I thought before I made it worse, I would ask the experts here!

You just have to hold the opposite end and tap - gently - on the loose end. Make sure the plastic tabs line up with the slots, or they will probably break; you may have to just flip the plastic end the other way around to make it align.
It will be easier to do if you remove the valance and side panels; there are probably 4 small brackets, two holding the valance and one each on the sides. Unscrew the brackets from the valance and sides, not from the wall. The whole assembly will come loose from the wall. The shade will be screwed to the top valance. Turn the assembly upside down on a flat surface, and you can get easy access to re-fasten the plastic end.

It may be a pain for you but they should be in warranty too!

Maybe I'll have to add that to my "hit list" when I take my camper in to get the sofa replaced.

Since the dealership is handling some other warranty work, I am having them fix it.
Thanks for the input everyone!
