Portable Solar System

Finally broke down an bought a portable 135 Watt Charging system from CEA Solar. Seem s like a well thoght out system. Doing a back yard test now prior to next weeks dry camping. I have a generator ( too noisy) so my hope is that I wont have to run it as much. Just a few lights and the fridge etc..

The one thing I did not expect (silly me) is how heavy the unit is. Then again is is mostly sand... And I can still park in the shade ...

Along with a report on how it does keping up with the load. Usualy we been goign where there are full hookups in natioanl forest but they were all booked. Shoudl be an intersting experinence.

Ran the generator for about 40 min over the 6 days. No good reson but hauled it up figered I should at elast run it. Started teh battery at ~ 50 % charege ended the week at 65%. Only had partial sun in the AM and non after noon. Being in the tall pines with rain most days. Even ran the heater. So solar seems to keep up. 135 Watts.

Take it in at night or chain it down... those types of panels are prone to developing "legs"

Forgot to mention it has a motion tirggered alarm. And yes camoping is not what it once was.
