Precept 31UL Sewer Solution?

Hello,

I take delivery of my 31UL friday - Wahoo! So naturally I'm trying to get all the necessities together. I was thinking of going with the Sewer Solution given all the positive reviews and the fact that it seems easier to deal with and perhaps cleaner. The two questions that come to mind are; 1) will it work at all give then multiple bends on the 31UL and 2) without mods is any water connection running into the black tank?

Thanks in advance!

Should anyone get here - I'm also interested in surge protector - seems like a lot of discussion and debate and truthfully I overlooked figuring a new coach would have it covered but I'm thinking it's a good idea to get one?

We've used the Sewer Solution on the 2 trailers we've owned. I like it. Not sure about your model tho. Our 5th seems to have a couple of bends in the black tank drain but we also have a black flush. I have 3 sections of drain line (30') and can reach the dump at the storage lot from my slot (very convenient).

I'm also a fan of surge suppressors. I've had 2 from progressive industries, a 30A pole mount and now a 50A hard wire with remote display, both EMS models.

ZipperHead, I'm not familiar with the Sewer Solution so can't help you there. There are two ways to get water into your black tank. One is the flush, by using the flush located just below the city water fixture. The other way is to flush the toilet using water from the fresh tank. The first way should be all you need. The other issue is flushing your grey tank. Again running you faucets from the fresh water take will take care of that. Hope this helps.

Thanks! Looks like there are a couple beds to navigate around so the rinse part may not work as desired. The ability to go up hill and potentially longer distances may be enough to justify.

Thanks - I think I will go with a 50A mounted. Seems like a small price compared to replacing any electronics.

It will be far more convenient to use your built-in black tank flush than using the sewer solution. The instructions say to always use the black tank flush with the black tank valve open. I did that for a couple of trips in my Precept 29UM. Then I decided to use my old method I used in my prior C-class and close the valve, filling the tank to full, then emptying. Lets just say I was surprised what came out. I think they discourage closing the valve because they know some people will forget and let it overflow.
