Pricing A 2012 x17z

So we are thinking of selling our 17z to upgrade to another White Hawk, maybe even a Grey Hawk. It's a 2012. I did the nada guide and its giving me a quote of around $18k for my used 17z. Is that what I can expect to get? If not, what's a good price to sell this for?

Depends... are you looking at the retail nada (what a dealer would sell the same unit with the same options), what you would sell the unit to a dealer (trade in), or what you could sell the unit to another private party (or they buy from you). If you are selling to a private party through Craigslist, local advertising etc... look at the Nada low to average retail. Someone trying to buy from you may offer you the low while you may try to sell at the average. You more than likely won't get what a dealer is asking (high retail). And.. are you 'plugging' into NADA all the options that came with your tt?

Something of interest.... pre-Jayco, we owned a 2004 17' Casita. Casita's were hard to get and much sought after (before Jayco made the mini-van towable tt as they have now). The resale value for that lightweight little fiberglass 'egg' was out the roof. Our 2004 Casita with options NADA valued at about $7k in 2009 and sold for $10k in the (non-dealer) resale market. I don't think your Jayco would have that kind of resale value, but make sure you get the NADA value for ALL options purchased on your x17z.... ask "middle book", but don't expect what you paid. Hope this helps

I bought my 2012 X17z new, off the lot for $16,500. But I have seen them listed as high as $19,338. Value of $18,000 is probably a good solid figure.

I don't know if this helps, we paid $12,800 for our 2011 just a couple months ago. New, 2013's at the same dealer are just a little under $15,500.
It really does vary a lot by location though, I would see what a new one costs in your area and go from there.

We have a 2012 X17Z we bought new last June in Pennsylvania. We paid $15k for it. Also, a couple in our camping group just bought a new 2013 one at the Allentown RV show. They paid $14.9K.

Hope this info helps you find a price point.

Are you looking at the original retail on it? I see a low book around $11.5k.
