Question

Looking at the Jayco website they say the weights for a 2015 and 2016 SLX195 are way different. what is up with that, they don't look any different also the weight is more on the 2016 but the dry hitch weight is less, how can than be ?

2015
Weights Unloaded Vehicle Weight (lbs) 2,800
Dry Hitch Weight (lbs) 280
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (lbs) 3,500
Cargo Carrying Capacity (lbs) 700

2016

Weights Unloaded Vehicle Weight (lbs) 2945
Dry Hitch Weight (lbs) 260
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (lbs) 3500
Cargo Carrying Capacity (lbs) 555

The GVWR is unchanged, so nothing major changed.

The increase in weight is probably an optional item for 2015 is now standard.

Whatever weight was added was behind the axles which decreases tongue weight.

The only visible difference is that the overhead compartment over the front of the bed looks much smaller for 2016. That could account for the reduced tongue weight.

Also looks like they went to a roof mounted A/C in 2016 vs the wall mounted one in 2015. Height is increased a lot.

Thanks,
just curious, when I got mine I thought I was getting a 2015 but all they had was a new 2016 they gave me the 2016 for the price they quoted for the 2015 so I was happy, I love this TT it is just what the DW and I wanted. not to big not to small and we have a queen size bed we don't have to breakdown and setup. DW has already started adding here own touch this is a real keeper.

Ditch the gallon of milk in favor of a quart and you can carry 5 more Buds AND a pound of bacon.
