Re-winterize?

Well we've had our beloved new 30.5 RLS out once last month already, and had fully de-winterized, including sanitizing the lines and tanks. We're pretty confident that the tanks are empty, but here in Colorado we are expecting some temps below freezing this coming week with an approaching storm. Some reports forecast temps as low as 24 degrees one night. Wondering if we should re-winterize to prepare..? The last time it got to around 30 degrees, DH had the heat at the lowest setting and opened the cabinets with plumbing. This time, with temps expected to be lower, and may be colder for more days, we got to wondering what the general consensus here might be. Would you keep it warm as we did before, or de- winterize again? Thanks in advance for your advice.

As long as it's not a prolong cold snap and gets above freezing during the day I would just open the cabinets, drain low points and if you want drain the hot water heater for piece of mind. You sould be fine.

I agree with Adk Camper. This is what I do in the spring here in Illinois when the weather is changing constantly. I usually set the thermostat for about 50° and leave it that way overnight. Have never had a problem even when the temperatures dip down into the low to mid 20s over night.
