Rear Camera Monitor Placement

So I had a rear camera installed on my TT. I am debating on where to place the monitor. The unit came with a suction arm that attaches to the windshield. Not crazy with having something obstruct my line of sight. Does anyone try to modify the arm with velco or something and place inside a cupholder? I have a 2014 Ram 2500 and a Voyager Camera. Thanks for the help in advance!
